I have successfully got all the $20 software. But gmail does not work. Keeps saying I never enter the password. Also, I cannot change the icon at the bottom of the bar.

derrick, you will need to download the mail fix. To do that, go to Installer, and add the below source to your iPod Touch:
http://madpike05.googlepages.com/repo.xml

Refresh your sources, then go to Install, scroll to "The iPhone 1.1.3 Apps" category. There should be a package called "1.1.3 Fix Mail". Install that and you're good to go!

Yo! The icon positions are able to be changed by pressing and holding any icon on the screen for a while till it "wiggles". Then you will be able to move the icons around. Regards to the Fix mail, the source is stalled in googlepages which has been max out. So wait for a while till google releases it again to download the package. Thanks freeappleipodtouch!

Refresh your sources, then install "1.1.3 Mail Fix".

quick question.. while the renaming thing worked, my ipod touch now is being treated as an iphone so much so that i get a "No Service" status now besides the wi-fi indicator. Any idea how this can be removed?

Not sure what I did diff...but I followed all the tut's and installed 1.1.3 from my previous jailbreak'd 1.1.2. I cant find that folder in my Itouch when I SSH into it?? Is there another 1.1.3 that I have to DL in order to get all the new apps?

I'm not sure why it's not working for you. Try uninstalling that source for the mail App and try using this source:
http://ipodtouchmaster.com/files/repo.xml

Find the mail fix somewhere in the categories.

Try this to get rid of the "No Service".

1. Download a SummerBoard patch from http://www.box.net/shared/bd3kbj9wcs

2. SSH in to your iPod Touch and copy the file to your iPod Touch

3. SSH to the touch, and execute the below steps.
4: If you put the sbpatcher.tar.gz file is in /var/root, type the following commands:
1. tar zxvf ~/sbpatcher.tar.gz
2. cd sbpatch
3. ./sb_patcher

This should take care of the SummerBoard and the "No Service" status.

Try going to Installer and add http://ipodtouchmaster.com/files/repo.xml as a source. You can find the $20 App Pack somewhere in the categories. Let me know if this works.

Hi! I just got my ipod touch a few days ago and it didnt came with the new apps. I bought the extended warranty and i just want to ask this before a jailbreak my ipod. Does this affects my warranty with apple or my extended warranty???

Yes, jailbreaking the iPod Touch will void your warranty with Apple, unfortunately.

The sb_patch does not help - I still see "No service". I am not using Summerboard but the standard Springboard.

No, bradon. Learn to read. You get the $20 apps for free, on the iPod touch you should already have.

Can i still do this on a 1.1.1 ipod if not is there and easier way to get installler on ipod touch eg 5-10 min download of ipod?

These may work for the iPod Touch 1.1.4, give it a try pastexpiry! I haven't downloaded 1.1.4 yet. Let me know if it works.

When I attempt to rename the files it comes up with this erros:

tomn: This is an old tutorial, please go to http://code.google.com/p/ijailbreak/

and download the iJailbreak software. You will need to downgrade back to 1.1.1, and can use this software to jailbreak your iPod Touch 1.1.3.

franck: This is an old tutorial. I would recommend doing the same thing I suggested to tomn above. :)

I still haven't fund a way to get the apps without making my ipod think it's an iphone.

And yes It works great with 1.1.4

I wen tto the System/Library/CoreServices and double tapped SpringBoard.app but all it does is go back to the 'desktop' or main screen. I don't see a away to edit the files. Please point me in the right direction.
