I had jailbroken my IPod touch when today I udgraded to 1.1.3 and now I can't restore back to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 for that matter. All I get is this unknown error. Please can I have some help on how to get 1.1.1 back. Feedback is much appreciated.

same thing happened to me...i wanted to downgrade!!!

Me too! :( Don't upgrade to 1.1.3 if you want to keep your jailbroken apps. Damn. I was halfway through Final Fantasy, too.

Hold home and reset button for 10 sec then release reset button but hold home button for next 10 sec.. be precise, than u can downgrade to 1.1.2

just did it and am glad..

wait, adam...where would i get the file to downgrade to?

Hello,
Do you know how to get the 1.1.3 upgrade?
In my country there is no iTunes store so I cant get it!!!

I wonder why you would want to upgrade to 1.1.3 if you already jailbroken your Itouch. From what I see with the update, you will have Maps,Mail,Weather,Notes, and Stocks, which I don't really care(Stocks) about,. I already have these and they all work fine.

Hi Noel, I still have my iPod like it came from Apple. Jailbraking it is a choice I'm very close to perform.
The problem I see is that for each upgrade I will have to run into troubles.
What I wish to have from the upgrade is the mail application (can read word, excel and full HTML) and the notes gadget. Maybe I'm wrong but isn't better to get that apple original software?
Would be ideal to have both chances...
When I connected my iTunes, just a few minutes after the keynote was over, I started downloading the update!! but when it arrived to 70% the process was canceled. Since that I can't get into it because of the "paying" and "country" issue. That made me think that it is possible to get the file and upgrade without the use of iTunes.

Hi Jose. Actually alot of the software for Mac(Apple) and PC(Microsoft) are made by 3rd party companies to run on their system. I agree with the part about upgrading and running into problems....but hey, that is normal. When I got my Itouch, I had to downgrade to 1.1.1 to jailbreak it and upgrade back to 1.1.2. A friend of mine said that Safari runs faster with 1.1.2 but I didn't really see any difference. That's why now since my Itouch is running the way I want it, there is no need for me to upgrade. BTW don't get taken in to the upgrade to be able to put websites on the home window and able to drag your icons around and rearrange them. As far as I know those abilities are only for the Iphone but of course they will be hack to the Itouch also.

I succesfully downgraded my itouch just a few minutes ago email me for deatails

Connor, Had you upgraded your itunes to version 7.6 also?

yeh, but then downgraded it

to steven

At youtube there is a howto video
from ipodtouchmaster
saying how to downgrade from 1.1.3 to 1.1.1
but to tell you the truth I was not happy
to find that my jailbroken iPod screwed up and my
computer did to but it was cool
so use with discretion
enjoy (hopefully)

1.1.3 has been jailbroken!!! theres a video on youtube, but apperntly you need to do some hardware modding too, and is too complicated so has not been released to public yet
