Shortly after the iPhone Dev Team released their PWNAGETool 2.0.2 for the MAC, CMW, the creator of WinPWN released WinPWN 2.0.0.4 for Windows users. Now Windows users have the ability to jailbreak iPod Touch and iPhone firmware 2.0.1. This GUI software allows you to easily jailbreak your iPhone 3G 2.0.1, iPod Touch 2.0.1, or iPhone device. Check below for the download link.
New WinPWN 2.0.0.4 features:
- Has support for firmware 1.1.4, 2.0, and 2.0.1
- Allows you to resize the root partition
- Includes Installer 4.0 beta 4
- Supports Windows XP and Windows Vista 32, and 64 bit
Notes:
- Before installing WinPWN 2.0.0.4 you must uninstall any older versions of WinPWN you have installed.
- Make sure you have iTunes 7.7, if not then upgrade
- Make sure you have enough RAM, WINPWN uses 300MB of RAM space
- To use WinPWN, make sure you click "Browse" and select your IPSW
- If you have firmware 2.0, only the *5A347_Restore.ipsw files are valid. The 345 image will not work.
- If you see Failed to load image catalog/payload catalog, this is fine and won't cause problems
- Do not activate or install the YouTube Fix if you have service with AT&T or another authorized carrier

im having problems... the download page says "Forbidden

You need to run WinPWN first, load your 2.0 firmware file and have it build the new custom .ipsw file which you will then need to load on to your iPod Touch.
it keeps on giving me a failed to create custom ipsw when i try to create one for the itouch with 2.0 firmware
Did you uninstall the previous WinPWN before installing this newer one? If you're using Windows Vista, are you running this as Administrator?

Hello Kain Lun, you must actually use the 2.0.1 IPSW file and create the custom firmware using WinPWN 2.0.0.4 if you want to jailbreak the latest firmware for the iPod Touch. Click the below link to get it: Download iPod Touch firmware 2.0.1

I'm using windows xp and when i download it i'm getting a "cannot open" message!!! Anyone know why?
i downloaded winpwn for my ipod touch 2g and it tries to locate the ipsw file but when i push on the file it says:invlid hash,or somthing like that..
how do i create a ipsw file? please help
